Papty School, founded by Mr. Eric Nii Yarboi Quaye, has come a long way. The journey however has not been without difficulties and frustration. Determination and the will to succeed are what has brought the school this far.
Papty School which is situated in the Santa Maria suburb of Accra near the last stop, began modestly on 2nd July 1997. It was initially established as a day care centre. It was started with four pupils, two teachers and one non-teaching staff. 2nd July (Founders Day), is the day Management, Staff and Students celebrate with a thanksgiving service to commemorate the humble beginning of this noble institution.
Over the years however, the school has witnessed tremendous growth. The primary department was started in response to the increase in the number of students, and much later the Junior Secondary School department was also added to absorb the pupils who passed out of the primary level.
Through the sound vision, hard work, perseverance, and on top of all, God’s guidance, Mr. Eric Quaye the Proprietor and Director of the school, and other members of staff have raised the school to an enviable status. Over the years, the students put out by Papty School have been of exceptional qualities.
The JSS section which began in 2003 had its first batch of students writing the B.E.C.E in 2005. It has remained the pride of the school that all students come out with distinction which says a lot for the sound foundation given to the pupils before they reach the JSS stage.
Currently, Papty School as a modern, forward-thinking school has a student population of about 400 and a staff capacity of 50, which is made up of 30 teaching staff and 20 non-teaching staff. With Papty School, the sky is no longer the limit. We aspire to reach farther.
